What you should know:
Project CANOE uses wilderness canoe tripping to engage with, and support, the personal growth of youth. Our participants face economic, social, behavioural, and cultural barriers in their daily lives that would preclude them from being successful in other wilderness canoe tripping programs.
Our staff operate within anti-oppressive, challenge-by-choice and strength-based frameworks and believe that all youth should be supported to make their own choices in their lives.
We value the experience and knowledge that our staff bring to Project CANOE. Our staff are youth-focused and work hard to ensure that individual youth needs are being met. Working at Project CANOE is a challenging experience and most of our staff say that it is one of the most rewarding of their lives.
